hi! my name is judas and i love comics. welcome to my website!
i started reading comics as a little little kid, but my first introduction to what i would call "superhero comics" was DC's new 52, which i read on my ipad as it was coming out way back when i was like 8. i had always liked batman and was a dc purist for a very long time especially since my dad dragged me to marvel movies and i hated the vast majority of them. much later, at the end of my first year of college, i decided to try out x-men since i had heard it was pretty good and it started in the silver age, which is generally my favourite period of comics. i was in the middle of finals and needed something to read that wasn't as dense as the books i was studying for my papers, although in the end the x-men (and many other comic characters) did sneak their way into my paper on archetypes of masculinity in america and the media that shaped them. since i enjoyed x-men so much, i decided to branch out a little more into marvel comics, which is where i am now. i also recieved a comic collection from a friend of my mother that included a lot of stuff i had never read before, so i am also working my way through that!
my favourite comic character right now is bobby drake (obviously), but batman and the joker also have a special place in my heart. my favourite comic of all time is the long halloween. for more of my favourite characters/comics/writers/etcetera, see my hall of fame.
